Bruce Braithwaite was appointed as a consultant surgeon at the Nottingham University Hospitals in August 2000.
He has a particular interest in day-case surgery including day case hernia repair and varicose vein surgery, particularly, under local anaesthetic. Each year, he treats over 250 people as a day-case.
He is an Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham and has been Medical Director at one of Europe’s largest Daycase and outpatient hospitals.
Mr Braithwaite is lead of Clinical Governance for one of the UK’s largest partnership of Doctors and is committed to ensuring the highest standard of care for patients he treats. He is proud to work in a team that delivers an efficient, patient-centred treatment pathway. Mr Braithwaite regularly asks for, receives, reflects on and publishes patient feedback.
