Ian Rodrigues qualified in medicine from Kings College London in 2006 and was appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in 2016 after completing his ophthalmic specialist training in London, which included advanced specialist training in Glaucoma. Ian Rodrigues also has interests in teaching, information technology, healthcare policy, management and leadership. He has spent time supporting the development of a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) national guideline, an international set of standardised patient outcome measures for macular degeneration and working as a specialist professional advisor for the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Ian Rodrigues has a research interest in the surgical treatment of glaucoma and regularly presents at international conferences and clinical educational sessions to support the development of others clinical learning.
