Nathan Coombs

Nathan Coombs was appointed as a consultant surgeon at Swindon’s Great Western Hospital in June 2007. He has a particular interest in day-case surgery, and this includes day case hernia surgery and breast cancer surgical procedures. He performs over 300 day-case procedures each year. He has a specialist interest in laparoscopic hernia repairs, having performed over 1000 keyhole hernia operations in the last decade. In his spare time Mr Coombs works with the medical charity, Mercy Ships. This involves teaching and training West African surgeons in safe surgical and theatre techniques.
